2004 4WD Tacoma TRD driveline clunk?

After searching the forum I've pretty much determined that my "as I stop, then as I go" thump or clunk from the driveline appears to tell me that my drive shaft(s) need to be re-lubricated? I asked my dealer about this. They've been very good to me about my Cruisers.

As for my Taco, he said the drive shaft propellor shafts need to be lubricated on a regular basis. I have 17K miles on this '04. It started clunking about 10K miles and now it's to the point where it does it almost constantly. We don't 4-wheel this thing at all.

Is this normal at this mileage?
Is it costly to do?
Is he correct in making it sound like I should have had them do it already under a maintenance schedule? My Cruisers don't do this.

THANKS!

Yeah it's the slip joint- just lube the zerks and you are good to go. I think it's more noticable because the rr leaf springs allow more axle windup

Cost to lube the zerks? Do they do that on oil changes?

I would think they would just take care of it, it is under warranty, right? I would think it should normally be lubed during lube/oil/filter.
