High RPM's in the morning

My truck revs about 2000 rpm's in the morning when started. After 1-2 miles goes back to normal.I cleaned the throttle body i had scanner hooked up ,no codes.Never problems like that before. It is 96' T100 with 116k on the clock.
Any ideas???Thanx Paul

My 99 Taco with the 3.4L does rev up in the cold morning about 1500RPM. Not quite as high as you are experiencing, but just like an old school carb set-up the cold start requires higher RPM's with the richer air/fuel mixture. Pull the ECU fuse and wait bout 10 minutes. Good Luck.
