95 tacoma heater

I have a 95 tacoma with 220,000 plus miles.
My heater in the cab does not seem to heat up as well as it did, Any idea where to start looking for the couse.

You could flush out your cooling system. And if that doesn't work, the heater core will need to be replaced.

The hot water mixture valve is located in the engine bay on the firewall. Check to be sure it is openig all of the way. If the cable is not adjusted correctly it may not open far enough. Other suspects could be fault thermostat not allowing the engine to get to full heat. If you live in a cold region and your coolant mixture is wrong your coolant could be slush. Check the idiot gauge to be sure it is getting up to temp.

I think I'll start with the flush, I am not ready for a new heater core I have extra jackets damm it.
The truck does get up to full temp according to the guage. I was afraid someone would point me twards the heater core.
