Taco engine swap?
My 98 tacoma has a 2.7L 4cyl. What would replacing it with a 3.4L V6 consist of? Harness, ECU, ect...?

keep in mind, you didn't mention in your first post that your current engine is wiped....that does make a difference...
I would still replace it with the 2.7L though - my wife had one in her tacoma and that engine rocked! bk __________________ 76fj40 77fj55 85fj60 00uzj100 90Hilux Crew Cab Diesel 07 5.7L Tundra DC "I spend most of my money on beer, land cruisers, and women...the rest I just waste" - Curran |

The motor in it now is a 2.7. And still runs. Just has 200k on it.

Does it show signs of it going down? If not, it should serve you for a long long time, if you kept up good maintenance.
And if you really want to do a swap, I'd go diesel. Now that would be sweet. |
