Get familiar with TTORA as there's a wealth of info there. TTORA is to Tacomas & Tundras as IH8MUD is to Land Cruisers.

Go to TundraSolutions.com. Dedicated to Tundras. My recommendation? Buy mine.

How is it "wrong". It's another source of info. But since you called it out, TundraSolutions.com is where you can research, discuss, price, and repair your Toyota, Scion, or Lexus.

Try to get an 05 or 06 if it fits in your budget. It has more power (240/245 pre 05' - 285 post 05'), and the 5 spd tranny. Even if you go with the V6 its has more power (240hp V6) than the 00-04 Tundra V6's. Double Cabs came out in 04, but it had the smaller motor for that one year. For 05+ they also had some other goodies that were not available before. I ended up with the 04 because I needed the 4wd and I couldnt find what I was looking for in the newer models. Good Luck with your search!

'Mud is the site for Cruiser's on the internet. But using your logic, any sight that has a forum section with cruiser content would be a good place to go. I'm simply pointing out the fact that this assumption is patently wrong. Go to the place that has a primary focus. I've been on all of these sites for years, and I honestly don't think you're going to get anywhere near the quality of Tundra info from TTORA and you would from Tundra Solutions... Yup. 04 Limited DoubleCab - every option ever offered including DVD system. I love the truck and am only selling due to home purchase. I do agree with a previous poster, if it's in your budget, get an 05 or 06. More HP w/ the VVT-i engine and the 5-speed auto is very nice. Up here, there is a decent price gap between the 04's and 05's... PM me if you'd like more details. __________________ Brian K. Gallus |

BlueBox, Are you looking for a primary vehicle to replace your 60, or do you just need a pick up for hauling? A basic '01-'04 Tundra LB V6 in good shape w/ low miles can be had for under $8k or so. If you can swing it, keep the 60. -Mark __________________ 1990 4RUNNER - I've owned since '92 1999 UZJ100 - 115k miles 2007 Tundra - V-6 reg.cab longbed |

If you're hauling people as well as cargo, I would definitely get a 04+ double cab. Like others have said, try to get an 05+ for more power. If you don't need leather or the sunroof, the SR5 would be cheaper.
