Why would it die?

So, I have had my Tundra for about a month now and so far I like it. The only thing that kinda spooks me is that once in a while it will konk out right after it starts up. No big deal, but the other day the traffic was backed up and I was sitting there and it konked out after it was warm. The only thing that I can think of was maybe the fuel filter is getting clogged and at idle the fuel pump can't get enough fuel in to keep the engine going. Also it seems to idle at around 400 RPM's according to the tach, which seems low to me. Any thoughts?

What year Tundra? What engine? Check Engine Light?

A few things off the top of my head is Mass Air Flow Sensor, Fuel Filter, fuel pump, or Vacuum Leak.

It is the 2000 Tundra with the v-8. No lights come on and it starts right back up after it dies. It seems totally erratic, sometimes it will do it twice in one day and then not again for a week or more. I really don't want to bring it in to the shop yet if I can figure out what is wrong on my own. Any feedback will be appreciated.

How many miles on the stock fuel filter? If it's not tripping a code, fuel filter would be plausable. But it should be idling at 650-750 rpms also. The fuel filter is the cheapest, start there.
