2008 4Runner design changes?

Has anyone seen or know if the 08 model will have any styling changes? Online at Toyota it sort of looks like 6 spoke wheels, rounder wheel openings and overall rounder shape to the body. Anyone have 08's at your local dealers as of yet?

I'm still trying to get used to those non round wheel openings... I still prefer the older Tacoma's and Runners for their smoother lines.
Thoughts?

Not much will change from last year. This model is due for a redesign, hopefully Toyota will look back to the 3rd generation 4runner for styling
cues. Looks like 09. If it looks good, I'll buy it. I want more horsepower
but can't stand the looks of the present model, so I'm keeping my 01
until things improve.

Given the styling of the latest Toyota SUVs (RAV4, Highlander, New Cruiser) I would say it is going to look like a cross between the new Highlander and Cruiser. SO good luck waiting for a better styled 4Runner, maybe you will have to wait another 7 or so years after 09.

Better take care of the 01

Point VERY well taken. What is up with Toyota? The new Tundra doesn't
much raise my pulse, and don't even get me started on the FJC...Funny
you mention the Highlander. My Dad sold me his 01 4runner(now regrets it)
and can't stand the styling of the 07 4runner, so he appears to be leaning
towards the 08 highlander. Go figure!

Well I had my 96 at the dealership today for an oil change and to check the oil in the diffs as I was crossing a creek a few times on holidays.
So I shuffled over to a new 07 4runner Sport edition... yup the rounded wheel wells with the big honkin plastic mouldings part way up the fenders and rear quarters.. then I lean down and take a look under the new one... I can't imagine what the rock or 2 that I just hit with my 96 in the creek might do to the underside of this lower new 4runner going for a $46,000 sticker price... I guess I'm just not rich enough to take that expensive of a vehicle down a trail quite yet
Looked at an 08highlander... isn't it compared to a 4runner like comparing apples to a potatoe or something..... 2 very different vehicles
