05 Taco question

I haven't ever posted in the truck section of Mud, but I have a Question about my DD 05 Tacoma.

I got rear-ended yesterday at about 30 mph. This lady hit me while I was in a turning lane waiting for the green arrow. She hit me so hard my truck slid into the 02-04 Tundra sitting in front of me.

I have an ARB Bull bar on the front of my truck and the poor Tundra took almost all of the damage. but My Rear Bumper (chrome style), trailer hitch and light harness were all bent down about three inches.

So I will be getting a check for the repairs costs. I found out that ARB does not make a Rear Bumper for the 05-07 generation Tacomas, Is there anyone who does and maybe someone here that has one????

That is a sweet ass Bumper It really looks professional, Justin does good work. I'm calling him tomorrow.

Are there any other rear bumpers outthere? I sold my land cruiser and now have a tacoma 07 and it needs bumpers, what are you guys buying building?

I am partial to the ARB front bumper, the only other rear bumper I would have considered would have been from Jason Demello.

That is a nice looking bumper. However, if your purpose is to strengthen the rear section note that the rear frame/frame tail is the weak link and there's nothing structurally weak about the stock bumper/hitch system. I doubt that boxing the frame would enable it to survive the stress any bumper/hitch system would apply to it under a rear collision situation.

Unnnnh....forgots. I'm Sam from Hobbieville, IN. Own an '05 AC LB TRD/OR 4x4 w/4.0 and 3.73s. I love this stock truck, I love mud, and it sees more than its share of it where I live.

Right now I don't know where the truck is. I let my old woman drive it two weeks ago and the only time I see her or the truck is when she slows down enough for me to throw her a cookie.

Justin told me last week that the Bumpers are still 4 weeks or so from being ready, Luckily I'm a patient guy.

I like that bumper. Looks like a Slee for the 100 series. Super clean and does not look like a jungle gym like all the tube ones out there.

I am looking at getting a new Taco soon and may do bumpers.

Haven't talked to Justin in a few weeks, but he said they were getting the parts back from laser cutting, and that he was building the jig. I imagine that they will be ready next week. I am calling him next week to check up.

The Bumper comes black powdercoated, like in Jacque's pictures. So if you want it raw metal call justin and let him know and he can just slap a shipping sticker on it and send it to you - when its ready.....
