90 series prado diffs

Does anyone know what diffs the 90 series prado has? Is the front std or reverse cut 7.5? Is the rear the same as 4runner/minitruck v6 diff? Ratio? Also does anyone know about the diffs in 12o series?

The 90 series use the same diffs as the 96-2002 4runner (3rd gen). The front is a reverse cut 7.5 and the rear is an 8 incher.

Right off the top of my head: MilorgNorwegen. He owns two fine 95 series, one of them Iceland-style modified.

As I remember and find more users I'll let you know.

Thanks!

Cool rig ats4x4dotcom, what was your suspension setup? Were you running OME or King Springs?

i ran bilstein shocks, as we build our premium packages around custom bilstein shocks, and ridepro springs made to our spec.

we have nothing but trouble with kings, and we remove more OME than anything else to fit our bilstein premium suspension.

I know of a few cases that switched from the OME to Bilsteins. Do you keep the OME springs with the bilstein shocks?

the kings have 2 issues, one is, they coil bind in the HD springs, byppassing the bump stop, which isnt good.

the other is, they sag pretty quick......

Thanks Darren.
By the way can you give more details about your suspension ?(Shock length compressed and extended and coil rating).Do you do only custom jobs or you can ship in Europe?

90 series diffs

We just some gears to a guy in central america for a 90 series. 7.5 reverse front, and 8" "v6" rear.

What does coil bind mean? The King Spring coil sound as good as their leaf springs

I bought a kj95 rear axle. I seems to be 8", and I was wondering if the electric diff. locker fits in 8" j7-series axle f/r. Does anyone has any idea if it does? If it doesn´t, in what else axles can I use that locker with?

I thought yes .. my first concert are about the large on the long side axle .. coz in 60 series and 70 series with factory lockers the splines are more longer than other axles with no factory lockers ..

the 8" style locker doesn't need longer splines on the axle shaft.

it will work with a bit of fabrication unless you have a 39/8.
