Clicking noise

Hi all, it seems that i am developing a problem with my KZJ95 3.0TD. Its a 1997 Colorado model LWB.

A clicking noise has developed while driving, it only happens when I press the accelerator & the noise appears to be coming from the front left side of the engine. This noise is constant whether stopped or driving. If I stop pressing the accelerator the clicking stops too. Can't find the damn problem. Any of you wizards come across this before. I am at a loss. The engine seems more & rough with power loss aswell.

Any suggestions would be really appreciated.
