Hi all! / Hola a todos!!!
I'm Liz from Venezuela... glad to have found this forum thru a link at http://groups.msn.com/clubmeruvenezuela/links.msnw
I am the proud owner of a 2006 Toyota Land Cruiser Prado Meru (Prado 3 doors in Venezuela). I have been a TLC owner since 1991 and have no complaints. I just came back from a great trip to La Gran Sabana which was like a major off-road 4x4 test for my car...and my dad's Prado (5 door, 95 series?) as well.
Will be around at least once a week to check messages as I do a bit of traveling during the week.
Take care all, drive responsibly and enjoy but don't destroy nature!
Liz

Welcome to mud Liz! You are the first female member of the 90 series section
I cruised La Gran Sabana back in 1989, we drove from Caracas to El Pauji and back, probably one of the greatest trips I've ever been on. I'd be great to see pics from your trip, feel free to start a new thread with pics if you have any.
You're very lucky to be able to purchase brand new 90 series Prados in Venezuela (mine is a Japan-made 1997, purchased in Chile). Venezuela, Colombia & Ecuador are the only countries were you can still buy a brand new 90 series.
Check out this thread: http://forum.ih8mud.com/chit-chat-section/86119-honk-if-youre-venezuelan.html
Hope to see you here often, welcome again!

Hi, I'm from the Philippines. been driving a Prado for 2yrs. I own a 97 Prado 3RZF 2.7. This site is awesome. Finally a forum for LC90 Prado. There aren't a lot of sites out there actually. I'm attaching a pic of my ride.

Welcome to the forum
Our 90 series forum is growing fast, and we have members from many countries!
That's an interesting configuration, 3RZFE engine on a 4 door with luxury trim, is that common in the Phillipines? I had seen those bumper guards before but never seen the hood ornament on a 90 series. Those headlights were available in Phillipines in 97? Are they HID?
Hope to see you here often!

thanks. this prado was heavily modified by the previous owner. i think he imported the luxury trims, bought the bumper guards locally since it's easily available here. the headlights were modified by me early this year (i used black and amber spraypaint). and yes i've also upgraded them to hid

Now I am off to Caracas for the Weekend, might even go to the Venezuela Off-Road Festival in Valencia tomorrow!

We went to loads of places... lots of sightseeing...
El Toroncito, Aponwao, Quebrada de Jaspe, Quebada de Pacheco, San Francisco de Yuruani to do serious shopping and eating, El Pauji twice and obviously up to El Abismo, Boa Vista (Brasil), also visited several places in Santa Elena de Uairen as I have freinds there, Arapena Meru (Soroape), Kama Meru, El Mirador del Oso, and so many more I can't really remember all.
I had gone to Gran Sabana 17 years ago and visited some other places as well... it was less crowded back then and more pristine!
Where did you go back then?

Last time I was there was in 1994. It's been a while.
It's a really awesome place. No other quite like it.
I'm travelling now, but when I get back home I'll look up some of the pics I've got from La Gran Sabana. We used to go there every year.
Regards
Alvaro

Hi everyone, specially Tepui (who seems to be the most active one around here) this is my first post, I live in Caracas Venezuela and own a 2007 TLC90series also known as TOYOTA MERU here in my country. so far no mods only a set of 265/75-16 BFG AT, looking foward to install some OME suspension to lift it a couple of inches.

Hi Guys!Nice to meet you all !!
My name is Alex, I live in Valencia, Venezuela and I have an '07 Prado 90 series 3 door (Merù), I joined the forum mainly to meet fellow LC90 owners and to learn new stuff about my rig!! My previous rig was an '07 Liberty (Cherokee), but I got tired of the weak aftermarket it has and got a REAL 4x4!!
this is a pic of my previous rig: http://i127.photobucket.com/albums/p...c/CIMG0545.jpg
and my Prado!
