This comprehensive manual consists of over 500 pages of step by step instructions which will suite the DIY handyman through to the professional mechanic.

It's available at Amazon.com

Save the headaches and buy a Gregory's / Haynes

Tepui,
With all due respect that service manual is a piece of crap. I should know, I own one. Do yourself a favour and source one from Gregory's also known as Haynes. Much more information and detail and the manual will actually tell you what you need to know. The photos are much clearer the paper quality is better. Hell everything is better. You will need to get a seperate manual for the motor if you have a diesel. But it it still money well spent by comparison.

I'll stop ranting now.

Regards
D.T.

DT, I know the Haynes manuals, I've owned three of them and I have to agree that in general they are much better than Ellery's, but I couldn't find one covering the Prado with the 3RZFE engine when I was shopping for it, so Ellery was my choice.

Do you know where they can be purchased online?

Thanks for the feedback!

Thanks DT, but the description on the link does not mention my engine at all.

Would you mind checking the manual you have for the 3RZ-FE 2.7 4-cylinder engine?

I have a gregorys manual for the Prado (1996-2002) book number 518

I doesn't show any info about the 4 cylinder petrol engine, only the V6.

Mine is an older book tho (I got it in 2002) so maybe the newer version will show the 4 cyl.

Tepui,
Boy they are good. It only took 1 day for the manual to show up. Alas as Damien says no 2.7l info in the manual. But the rest is of excellent quality.

Regards
D.T.

For info as I know you have what you got TEPUI

E-mailed Haynes and they said that they only give info on the V6 ATM.

They are in the process of putting info about the 2.7 to paper. How far along that is would be anyones guess.

Impressive, nothing bets the feeling of getting good customer service. I think in my case, as with other 3RZ-FE powered Prado owners, it might be a good idea to got both Haynes' and Ellery's manuals.
