My previous car was a TOYOTA FZJ-70 '94, I'm trying to get used to the lack of power (compared with the 4.5L 1FZ-F 205 HP) of the 3RZ-FE 2.7L (150 HP), I'm listening for any tricks to make this engine gain some HPs (without the TRD).

TEPUI if you read this, please tell me the link to the inclinometer that you bought (You have it already?, was easy the installation?). Thanks in advandce.

Sorry for the long of this post. BTW, I have the Max Ellery's Vehicle Repair Manual for the Toyota Prado 1996-2004 (Serie 90 and 120), if someone need some information I'm here to help.

Silla (See'ya)
Bienvenidos a los Venezolanos (estamos como llenando ya el forum de latinos!! jajaja).

Ok, what you ask most people can answer, jumbo sells the king springs because they usually don't have the OME springs and they can make more profit out of the King Springs, rather than the OME.

I import OME stuff, the Long Wheel Base (LWB) is the same as the Short Wheel Base (SWB), but off course, you have to consider that the LWB is heavier for the rear, for the front they are close in weight.

My advice to you guys is, if you are going to get bumpers (Vigas) and maybe a winch get the soft Springs (OME880 Front, OME890 Rear) with Firm valving shocks (N91S Front, N86 Rear). If you're getting more things than that (roof tent, double battery, stereo, etc.) go with the heavy all around. Also if you want higher lift, go with the heavy, remember that weights determines the height your springs will actually give you.

(si alguno necesita ayuda con algun tipo de traduccion mandenme un mensage y con mucho gusto los ayudare en lo que pueda)

Welcome to the forum and let the teaching begin!

I am also in Venezuela and found this forum to be an interesting one. My Prado (2 doors) is still stock, no changes so far.

Arrow Prado 4 doors

Hello, my Name is jerry also from venezuela now living in Bogota, Colombia.
I bought a Prado 4 doors 90 series here in colombia, since the prado is also made in colombia they have here lots of accasories for it.
Here are some things I just installed
Arb bullbar, 9.5xp warn winch, ipf lights, OME suspension, procomp wheels and geolandar MT 285 tyres, TRD supercharger, 2cm suplements body lift, digital Altimeter compass etc, outback roof console. I just bought an 7th injector kit from TRD for Prado which they said that increase torque and speed like 30% more...my surprise was that the kit only fits american 4runner & tacoma and prado that has america computer system ......So, a lot of waste of money.
I will send you some pictures.

Welcome to the forum Jerry!

Lets see some pictures! (Since you have so many upgrades, it would be interesting to start an individual thread on your vehicle)

I'd like to learn more about the problems you experienced with the 7th injector kit. That may deserve its own thread too.

Thank you .
I will send detail pictures.
The thing with the 7th injector kit was that since the computer wasnt amercian it wont regulate the gas current. So the told me to buy an HKS AIC 3 (Additional Injector Controller)Part # HK 4204-RA005 which is basically operates the injectors by controlling the current, it can control both high & low resistor injectors.
Long story short .... there was 2 alternative which was to bring the regulator and at the same time the DYNO machine of Toyota's factory had to be American coded (which wasnt) or They also had to have a machine to program again the ECU ( which they havent too) ...So nothing to do !
Sorry about my english !!

yeap, 7th injector wont work on non us cars. What you should do is tune the car, it will be the same and even better since the 7th injector is a band aid fix and tuning is the correct way to fix it.

GZERO,

What do you mean exactly when you says Tunning your car. Because Toyota said here that there is no way to install the 7th injector kit.
Maybe you could help me.

Well, as with any other engine modifications, if you increase the amount of air an engine consumes you need to use more fuel to balance the mixture. The kit that toyota suplies to the US market is a band aid so that engines won't blow, and just by fixing the ignition (which i'm not entirely sure) and fuel tables they gain power. Now, why does this happends? well...its easy, when you add the supercharger you start injecting air into the engine, but you don't have enough fuel to use all that air, so if you add gas the car makes more power, which is what the 7th injector does......sounds easy, but its really a little more complicated than that.

Well, to sum things up, by saying tune i meant to get a system (either a stand alone computer or a piggy back) to get the Air to Fuel ratio to proper levels so that you start making more power and so that you're engine last longer (oh yeah, if you run too rich or too lean you start to destroy you're engine). Also, if by any chance you're injectors are too close to their limit, is better to buy 6 bigger injectors and tune that way.

its too late, so if i wasnt clear ask me. I'm glad to help. (tambien puedo explicar en español)

Is that the same 4 cylinder they use here (U.S.) in the Tacomas?
We have one in my wife's 4x4 Access cab 4x4 and I am impressed by the power.
