I welded hinges to the aluminum and then used sheet metal screws to fasten them to the floor (under the carpet, you can't see them) The hinges are nice but the panels only open about halfway because of the rear wheel hump. I think a L shaped catch would be better than the hinges. Flush compression latches on the top just hook on the sheet metal. Nobody ever even notices that they are there.
Its great to have all that storage.
