| dont be modest come on now mickldo, dont be modest...how about that $25 000 outboard you tried to set fire to at work....yeah .. must admit it was an accident though.. just finished disconecting the batteries , shut the battery box cover, then people started yelling fire... there was smoke bellowing from inside and outside the motor...when he shut the cover one of the engine leads fell on the battery making the alloy boat earth through the motor..ended up just melting all the earths off the engine...think mick felt pretty sick till we fired the motor up and all was well...good on ya mick...he he

| Just thought I would share with everyone what the Fusable Link looks like. I know I had a hard time understanding what it was and what it looked like. Anyhow thanks to this board and some prior threads on the subject here is a picture of a new Fusable link. The black box did not come with it. but the one end of the gray connector did come with it.
I got this one straight from the dealer for under $10. Replaced it and my truck started right up. Thanks! |

| My blue wire is slightly cut, exposing bare wire. I'd like to fix this, so, in the above pic, the far right blue wire goes into that black box. Do I replace the wires and box etc in one part # or is the black box separate. Can't seem to pry that box open either.....

| The box pops open and there are some studs inside to slip the rings over.
The fuselink consists of the large eye, the three wires attached to it and one side of the grey plastic connector in the left of the photo. The two wires that go into the box have eylets.

| can't recommend enough the quick-disconnect terminal for the battery. All of $4 at WalMart. A knob to twist off and that's it. Perfect for starter or electrical problems, and also can serve as a rudimentary anti-theft device...
