Hello All
Here is my rig it is a 1993 FZJ80 that I purchased about a year ago. After selling
the H**P I started looking for something with a longer wheelbase I had awalys
liked the lines of the 80 series Landcruisers so the hunt was on. After three months
of searching I found one that had everything on my wish list. It was not a perfect
Cruiser but it was in good condition with a clean body,no major mechanical issues,
Factory lockers, 156k and a funky smell inside. First thing done was to replace all belts and hoses, full tune-up and replaced all the fluids. Next remove FUNKY SMELL
my friend BVB helped me basicly gut the truck, we steam cleaned the carpet and
washed, wiped, blewout the interior of the vehicle and reassembled it.

Now it was time to get the modifications started:
OME 2.5 Hevay Lift
305/70/16 BFG Muds
Hannha Sliders
Slee Front Bumper

Not really sure found lots of fine dog hair behind interior panels, seats and dash.
There was candy and breakfast cereal stuck to the carpet under the seats the
smell was probably a combination of things.

The tire carrier is built out of 2" square tube and some 3/8" plate. I bolted to the floor where the 3rd row seats mounted.

Just make sure you put the tallest passenger that you like the least in the drivers side rear seat. If they are tall enough, one rear end collision and that's that! The end of that hi-lift..yikes!
I'm a fireman, and I see all kinds of crazy stuff that happens as a result of vehicle accidents. If it's possible to reverse the mounting of that jack (base towards the front of the rig, "top" towards the rear), it would be a lot safer for your passengers.
Course, I'm only 5'8", so it would take an act of a higher power for me to hit my head on that thing...

Nice rig, clean and simple looking. I'm gonna fab up some thing similar for my spare. Been thinking of it for a while, as it would be nice to keep the spare inside after I add an aux gas tank. Probably gonna use the seat bracket holes on the wheel well, and the seat belt mount as my attachment points. Yours looks nice and sturdy.
Thumbs up on having a fire extinguisher!

cool,

seth

sethro the pics dont really do justice to angle that the hilift is at . Looked at the other direction but it did not fit right but point taken.
