| Power Chip? Okay. Im looking around e-bay for cheap mods, and I come across the power chip. Has anybody had one? im kinda skeptical, because if its really a $250 dollar upgrade, and the buy it now price is only $30, how good can it be? Can it really make that big of a difference? I dont know. I havent heard much on them. Any thoughts? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Toyot...spagenameZWDVW

The general consensus is that the 1fz-fe is tuned perfectly already. I don't know if anybody who will admit to having one.......It seems as though I've typed this before......

| I wouldnt trust it. The application lists the item for all Land Cruisers from 88-2005. There are 2 differnt 6 cylinders and a V8 in this year range. I can not see how this item would work for all three of those different motors.

| It is a scam, it is probably a 25 cent resistor that you have to splice into the coolant sensor harness which will make your truck think it is cold all the time and run rich to make all that "extra power" Not a good idea IMHO.
Interesting that it seems to give 35 horsepower to every vehicle, no matter which engine, model, or manufacturer

They don't claim MPG increases and they are very secretive on how to install the "chip." The buyers have to send an e-mail after they get the chip asking for installation instructions which are e-mailed back. Something seems weird about this. I wonder if you could get them to send the install instructions without buying it; probably not.
