| Its hard to tell... I have the automatic unlocker installed, and Ive gotten over the fact that its a little picky. but i think the fact that it dosent lock some of the times is because i cant hear it lock or even unlock for that matter. i get out, take a couple of steps, then, remembering to lock it, press the button, and pray it locked. i guess what Im searching for, is maybe some help, on ways i could connect the unlocker to either the horn or the headlights...or even both for that matter. thanks!

| "UNlocker".....?
Is this in reference to the automatic locker, like the Aussie Locker...or do you have a locked rig, with something that automatically unlocks it...........like when you forget to turn off your lights and it turns them off for you?

| I see, don’t know anything about that one, you could look for an OEM alarm and harness, I recently sold one, it will flash the lights, also has a piezo speaker under the hood that usually has troubles but can be fixed with a soldering iron.

DougM | Ha! well, i guess it could be a dutch thing. I dont live in Holland. (its aobut an hour and 30 min south of me) The Hope College band on there was given to me by my sister who goes there. my brother went there too and graduated. Do i really have a choice? looks like Ill be goin there too. (YESSSSSS!)
so sorry about the image. (i get irritated with the blurry too.) but if i used the flash, the fab gives off a glare, and you cant see it. so i turned off the flash, and turned it to low quality so i could fit it on here. i didnt have time to mess with shutter speed and aperature. i guess (if you really want me to. but certainly will if you have an answer to my question) i could take another picture with shutter speed and aperature adjusted....
Back to the subject... I dont really need a new alarm, the one i have works fine, i just want to somehow connect the door locker/unlocker to the lights or the horn (or both) so that when i press the button that locks/unlocks my doors, the horn will beep, or the lights will flash. even if i could hook it to the orange lights under the headlights, that would be enough. just something that tells me when and if i locked/unlocked the doors to the buggy.
(BTW, i underlined and bolded lock/unlock and doors not to pick on CodyRx7, but to make it clear that im talking about the mechanical devices and wiring that lock/unlock my doors. (Because the pig buggy is not locked)

| I have the same alarm system and FYI it is port installed...anyway...the way mine works is if the alarm is on when I press the button to lock/arm the parking lights flash once to signal locked and then twice to signal unlocked.
If the alarm is turned off there is no lights flashing only the door locks locking.
Look in your DS kick panel for the switch...is it there?
Beowulf has the owners manual for your alarm system - I know cause I scanned it for him. Start in the glove box it should be there unless your g-pa threw it out.
But try switching the switch in the DS kick panel while the truck is off and the doors are closed. THen see if you get lights when you lock/unlock.
*EDIT* Thanks Dan

| That IS NOT a factory piece. It is a Gulf States Toyota private distributor accessory.

| You can do this 2 ways. First you could find the output wire off the alarm module that goes to the lock module and use it to trigger another relay that flashes the lights or beeps the horn. Second, you probably have an additional output wire for doing just what you are wanting to do. If you are not 12v inclined, I would suggest you take it to a stereo shop and have them figure out the easiest scenario. If it was here I could do it in a 1/2 hour max.

*EDIT* Thanks Dan | Okay. found the manual to the Anti Theft Detterent. (ATD..ahh) anywho, ill go and fix it. i had it in vallet mode after i had a problem with the alarm and didnt have the remote...long story short, i just need to switch it back to normal mode. i guess the only thing left is to see if i can hook it up to the horn for that extra "coolness" effect. (other wise there really isnt a point. i guess im already "cool" if i have a landcruiser. maybe if they see me and hear, me ill be "ultra cool" humm... ) i can do that myself. ill touch back if any problems arise. thanks for the help!

| Sounds like that output wire is fried or just not hooked up. My module (little black box) was zip tied up under the DS dash. Just follow the wires from the kick panel switch, and you will find it.
