Cruiserhead05,

Great write up and thanks for contributing.

Thought you said your truck wasn't really anything for anyone to see.

Those have been some busy 'little hands' lol.

Oh and Junk

Cruiserhead05,
Nicely done. White 80's rule. Take it easy in the water til you get the snorkle. I like those beach shots. 80's seem to love the sand. All those mods done at 19 you are loving it.

Actually I went through that same crossing with him and neither of us got any water in the intake. It actually was bone dry on both of our vehicles.

Brandon,

You have matured a lot over the past year or so and your ROTW thread shows it. Your rig is coming along very well and I agree with everyone that you have done a good job.

Congrats!!

B,

Thanks alot. That really means more then i can express.

As for the water crossing. I deserve no credit for it, as stuckey and another forum member(blue cruiser) went through it before me. Nevertheless, it was alot of fun.

Nice rig and very well built, modified, and fully armored ready for Cruise Moab 07. Good job Say thanks to Mom and Pop for their support though.

If you decided to go for Cruise Moab 07, I may go with you since I'm dying and very interested to go cross country driving Land Cruisers/LX450. It would be nice to see convoys of well built 80 driving on freeways from the East Coast heading to the West.

Thanks for the pictures and detailed write up.

Noel,

If i can work the schedule out with school and come up with funds, i'd definately be interested in planning a trip out there. i'm sure an east coast group could be brought together. it would be awesome.

Hello Brandon,
Your write up about your 80 is simply awesome! I did not know it was as built up as it is. Most people come to me for sliders well before they do much of anything else so this was actally a small surprise for me. I also wanted to say thanks for all of the kind words concerning working with my busness.....It makes my day...really!!!
I'll be emailing you soon about the legs but till then take care.
Richard Stubbs

Oh, and man do I want an FJ80 BAD.....have for a long time.

Richard,

THANK YOU for the kind words.

Once i get the final legs mounted i'll try to do a seperate thread with more detail about the sliders.

I cannot stress enough how i respect slee and hanna for their work but the stubbs sliders will hopefully offer another option for those with a slightly tighter budget.

I think all will agree, the more aftermarket options available, the better for the cruiser community.

Brandon please do that when you get time and can take pictures outlinging the entire process and I will happily add the Stubbs sliders to the FAQ so that others can consider this option with the others.

i know this is a bit late, but i just wanted to comment on your truck.

i LOVE it. pictures/writeups like this one is a great example of why forums are so awesome for sharing ideas and helping eachother out.

i'm a bit younger than you, and i'm starting out basically the same you did, 'inheriting' the truck and hit the ground running. i'm extremely impressed with all you've done in only a few years, everything is as good looking as it is functional.

great job man!

Loved your truck at the beginning. Mine is a unique John Deere Green, but I am envious of the white 80's. Yours looks great. Your mods are similar to what I have or want for mine.

Great looking rig!

Can you elaborate a bit more on why you needed to go to the DC shaft?

Nice, very nice. I suspect that you have the same level of dedication and commitment with your studies.

I tried to read all the posts, but may have missed it, nevertheless, is your spare the same size as your other tires? If not, that would be my next priority if I were you because if its not and you have to use it, you may cause alot of damage to your driveline.

Lastly, it seems to me your sister might not be getting your cruiser.
