Here are my pics from TTORA Johnson Valley 2008 - I did the Fissure Mountain run.

Scary rockcrawling w/o sliders!

"The Slide" - super scary for SWB trucks...

Jon from All Pro Offroad in his SICK FJ crawler. Check out the Currie axles!

The Damage - I guess it's time for an Iron Pig bumper!

My first thought when I saw that pic was: "This guy is going to looks those mud flaps fast." Then it was, "%$#@$!, no sliders". Followed by "Looks like he already lost the mud flaps"

I thought the Johnson valley trails where a bit more "extreme". I guess you guys stuck to the easy ones. Doing that trail without sliders is definitely something I would think twice about.

the bizarre logic behind fixing the dents was that clean rockers would be worth protecting by investing in some sliders whereas trashed rockers are harder to justify $'s on sliders since they are already smashed. An important milestone in deciding how much of a beater I am willing to drive?

Johnson Valley is mostly Extreme trails.

I believe Fissure Mountain is one of the few "Medium-Hard" trails in Johnson. Fissure is still pretty fun for anyone with 33"s/lift, lockers, and sliders. There are some tough spots and nice hill climbs, plus the pucker-tastic "Slide".
