Thanks topend. LCMP hasn't had any rain in months. VERY dusty. The rear step only limts me with the depature angle. Even though I've lifted it a couple more inches since I've fitted the bar I still get hung up on it everywhere.
In the last photo in post #316 you can see the rear bar just touching a small rock limiting the amount I could flex it. I still had heaps of travel, the other wheels were still firmly planted.

remember to push a wake when you go through water like that. just fast enough so you begin pushing some water up front.

Just think how history would have been different if the FZJ 80 were around 200 years ago...Headline: ''Lewis and Clark made it to Oregon...AGAIN'' - or- ''LC's lead the way through the Northwest passage''
Great pics! Thanks for inspiring us!

Nice...

Thanks, but I'm just blessed to get to wheel...a lot of the guys in our club only get to ride 3 or 4 times a year.

3 or 4 times per year in a spot like that would be a huge improvement for me! Living in Houston really has its limitations

Not an 80.... but a prime opportunity to showcase the trail armour on my previous truck (1992 4Runner):
