Relocating the radius arm mounts on the axle

I have a '95 FJ80 front end. As you guys know the radius arms mount at the bottom of the axle, seriously affecting the clearance under the axle. I've seen a guy who relocated the mounts to the top and made custom radius arms out of steel. Has any of you guys relocated the mounts either to the top or the back of the axle? If, so how did you do it? Thanks
