Lovely. Where can I get a JDM upper console w/the compass and all? What's the fuel switch you have next to the rear heater swith?

You don't want an upper console, they are too much money and are really more of a decoration than anything else.

The switch activates the fuel transfer system that pumps fuel from the sub into the main.

Nice rig Dan. Looks like we had the same idea for the Co2. Passenger side, used the 3rd row mountig bracket holes to mount a bracket for my Co2. Can reach all 4 tires from there.

Cbizkit - thanks for taking this week.

Looks great. Figures you'd have a darn TRD boost guage I am a bit concerned though - that engine bay looks rather dirty compared to the way I figured you kept it clean enough to eat off of - maybe it's clean enough for B to eat off of and just not you

FWIW, that latch would get you a ticket in my town for obscuring the plate. <- this I know from personal experience.

Looks great.

Pimp - go back to sleep ROTW - Rig Of The Week - see the stickies.

Junk - When I saw it at Moab before wheeling, you could have eaten off it. He must be buzy since he got back.

It is difficult to photograph without removing the grille but it is used on vehicles with dual A/C and a cool box and it mounts to existing points on the condensor and center lock brace. I have it set up to come on manually with a switch on the instrument panel. That way I can bring it on line when ever I want. I like to be able to run it when the vehicle is being worked hard on low-speed trails.

I stumbled onto this thing several years ago in my first issue microfiche. After that issue the reference was deleted. It also appears in my JDM fiche. Basicly it is a moulded plastic sleeve that occupies the space inside the LH quarter above the wheelhouse. The tool kit slides nicely inside it although I think it may not have been intended for that use.

The wire mesh is part of the shroud. If anyone has seen the cooling fan used on 90-95 4Runners it is similar in appearance although it is a different size. The connector on the motor is the same one as used on the 90-95 4Runner and I obtained one of the same from a wrecked vehicle so that I would not have to butcher the wiring.

Never heard of them tires there Dan, how you like them (I'm sure there has been a thread about them, so just keep it blunt)? Also, what made you decide to go with the 864s over the 863s, does that Aux fuel tank weigh that much? What have you done for caster correction, if anything, and what shocks are you using?

The Wrangler M/T is a discontinued tire, last made about 5 or 6 years ago. They are a directional tread and were originally made for Military Hummers. Goodyear made them in a few other sizes, one being the 305/70/16 and early on were one of the very few tires produced in that size. The M/T was discontinued in favor of the MTR.

Castor is taken care of with OME correction bushings. Shocks are OME regular length which have about 1 and 7/16 inches additional extention over stock.

The choice of 864's is covered in this thread: http://forum.ih8mud.com/80-series-tech/46773-ome-863-vs-864-finishing-perfect-80-a.html

Wow! What an amazing rig Dan. Your mod sheet simply rules man, I see so many things that I want!!!

If you dont mind me asking, I'd love to see some shots specifically of the panhard rod and the receiver hitch design you did.

Also, if i remember, sometime in the past you posted some pics that included parts of your homemade drawer setup. ( I think it was in reference to the air system actually and the drawers were in the background) If you have posted pics exclusively about the drawers, can you link it here and if not, can we see some shots???

Out of curiosity, what are you stocking that "trail spares box" with???

Thanks again man, what an awesome rig!

The middle photo in post #1 shows a lot of the hitch detail and the adjustable end of the panhard rod as well as the subtank and exhaust. There was an old thread floating around that had some drawer detail but that was a few forum changes back and the images are likely gone. I will load a couple new ones. The spares box contents vary but the full time occupants include:
Shovel
Axe
Tow strap
Winch choker chain
Gloves, leather and nitrile
Garbage bags
Fan belts and a blower belt
Blower tensioner pully wrench (home made)
Motor oil
ATF
Brake fluid
1/2 inch torque wrench
1/2 dozen ratchet straps
Masking tape
12v flouresent drop light
Plastic rain ponchos
Sections of 1/4 inch fuel line, 5/16 fuel line and recently added 3/8 power steering line

I think you've also upgraded to some different interior lighting rather than glowing hot wires?
