Brake Pad Swap

I have been doing some research spawned by a search on this board, about FZJ-80 owners swapping in 100 Series Front brake pads.

Got me to thinking about the swap for the S13W calipers...

T100 Pads (93-9? S13W)
While we find your parts, please enter your ZIP Code at CSK Auto

FZJ80 Pads (93-97)
While we find your parts, please enter your ZIP Code at CSK Auto

100 Series Pads (98-99 LC Brake Pads)
While we find your parts, please enter your ZIP Code at CSK Auto

100 Series Pad has a bit more meat if it will fit the width of the caliper or the depth of the rotor hat.

Looks like it might, because the dimensions on the 80 pad and T100 are similar...

Has anybody tried it?

Just replaced the front pads for 100's last week. My rotor thickness was about 31.4mm. Had to leave the shim's out though. There was not room for them. Used brake lube on the back of the pads. Seems to stop alot better.

Not clear on what you are asking. Are you asking if anyone has swapped 100 series LC pads into stock calipers on a T100? If so, you might try posting in the "95+ Toyota Trucks" section, too, as that is the section for T100 tech info
