FJ100 seats?
My 95 fjz80 front leather seats are toast. Most of the replacements I've seen are worn or guite expensive. Does anyone know if fj100 seats will bolt into an 80? Has anyone tried such a swap?

There was a thread for the same topic, as far as I remember, the LC100 seat won't fit into the LC80. You may be better off to get an used seat from a yard, or get a set of new seat cover from the link listed above, and budget another $200 per seat for installation.

Your best bet is to call Cdan and get new seat cushions and either buy a leather kit or take it to an upholstery shop. The seat cushions are $143 if I remember correctly. I'm about to have mine done since I jut recently got the new cushions. I've gotten quotes from several shops and they range from $900-$1800. The local shop that does all the work for the Lexus dealership quoted me $1300.

You can do it yourself instead of sending it to a shop.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm thinking sheepskins over the cracked seats are looking better and better until I figure something else out.
Passenger side will only move forward, not backwards, so will have to find solution eventually. Seems like better options (lest costly) should be out there somewhere. Thanks again.

Some people on here have these and have had good things to say about them. Planning on getting a set myself pretty soon.

Sheepskin might be a good idea.
I have successfully "helped the passenger seat move back by turning one of the roller shafts manually while I bump the electric power. Just don't get it in a bind or it will get stuck.

You might just need some caps or gears, Usually caps come off and the seat stops working...
Here is a link to a thread on this topic: Gamiviti - custom manufactured happiness
and here you can buy the remanufactured parts from member NakMan Gamiviti - custom manufactured happiness
Hope this helps... I just bought 2 sets of caps to fix mine.

On the topic of seats, do the present generation 4Runner seats fit in the FJ80 (non power non leather)? I have driven the 4Runners at work and love their seats (better than my old 4runner). Oddly enough, the present gen 4Runner interior room is about the same as my FJ80 (minus some head room, width is similar though). The third row is different, only seats two. But the front two seats would be a nice set if they fit.

I really like my SOR tuff duck seat covers. Fit is very good. Color is a little off, but that is my only complaint. Just another option.

Any seats can fit if you make brackets for them 100 series seats would be great with the arm rests and all.

Not necessarily. The seat could be too wide and bind against the console and door or b-pillar.

I have both an 80 and a 100 series. Width across the butt area is exactly 21.5 inches on both. Seat frame mounting points look pretty similar as well. Just might be worth the try one of these weekends.
Surely someone has already attempted this.
