Metal gas cap or Plastic gas cap.

Yeah like the title said, Im about to buy gas cap.

Right here local autoparts store, they offer me plastic and metal gas cap.
I dont know what or which better??

Or i guess both performed samething right? It just cap, no biggie.

Factory is plastic. I would be careful with non-OEM as you may then have leaks (vapor out or water in); both of which are not good.

As stated above, go OEM. They are not that expensive from C-Dan. If a cheap one leaks vapor, which my 10+ year old OEM did, you can end up blowing up your garage.

I'd get one from Toyota. There are a couple important features in that little cap that can cause problems - they're more complex than you think.

Two years ago I had to buy from to pass smog so they slapped a Fram one on, I believe, for $9.
Stupid part was that I couldn't leave and get a factory cap or I would have to do the test all over again. Good Old Republic of Kalifornia.
Anyway, the Fram one looks the same as the OEM one IMO and has worked fine.
