Well as I am sure you find in your searches on Mud that is a fairly common number for fuel consumption. A well maintained stock Cruiser can see upwards of 16 or 17, but north of that is common. But 16-17 can be reached provide you do no modifications and have it in tiptop running condition.

You are basically driving an all wheel drive brick.....mileage isnt all that good.

I was getting 15-19 with my stock truck '97, until the lift and tires. Now I'm getting 12-13. But the fun certainly increased.

That being said, the 3fe having less power, will take more gas to get these 'bricks' moving.

I wish I had that problem!

If you expected more than that, you expected too much. Some do better than that, but that is certainly in the average range for 80 series cruisers.

I'm bone stock and I'd like to think that I keep it well maintianed and running well and the most I ever get is 13, I average 12. I'm on my second 80 and my first one averaged 11, so I consider 12 an improvement.

what psi are you running in you tires? pumping that up can help a little, and keeping you're foot out of the gas. I was getting 15 until I put my 285s on, now I'm down around 13.5

My 1996, bone stock, with 220,000 on the odo gets 18.5 to 19.9 on highway road trips. I am not running with any modifications, and I have OE michelins. Around town I get 13.5 to 15.

These trucks are rated (average) at 13 city and 16 hwy when they were new. This rating is also under optimal conditions. Some vehicles will be better, and some worse.

Welcome, now go tune your truck, and see how that helps.

Mine was pretty much stock until last week. I was getting between 14-15/ mix of city/hwy. I put a set of Nitto Terra Grappler's on, 285/75/16's. They look really good, but I am sure my MPG is going to take a hit.

I get a freckle over 14 mpg when driving my stock 3fe 80 with e-10, strictly highway. City driving or offroad, I don't know, but I know it's bad.

Nope, no aftermarket doodads so don't go buy a K&N filter cause it won't work!

Avg 13; best 15.8 on a highway roadtrip - loaded with the wife, 3 kids and a dog, and everyone's stuff.
Bone stock '95, no roof rack, OEM size Michelin LTX tires.
