dont have a lawn, if i did, i wouldnt care, maybe they would keep the grass mashed down enough to keep me from mowing.
My biggest question is why everybody is worried about towing at speed. If i wanted to tow up 8% grades at 80mph, i would have never posted here. I would just go buy a cummins or a stroke. I have a non turbo diesel im only runnin 45mph at the top of those hills as it is anyways. I could care less if im doing it at 45 or at 80 as long as i get where im goin and get to wheel.
If you tow at 80 mph, unless your towin with a peterbilt, you aint gonna get the load stopped in 20 feet no matter what. I have a dually right now, with the biggest brakes ford used in 89, and it doesnt stop like a sports car when towing.
I work on landcruisers for a living. I know they arent that powerful, i know the brakes can sometimes suck, but i also know how dependable and reliable they can be.
I posted up here to get some real world feedback, and i got just that. I greatly appreciate all the comments and opinions, and real life experiences yall have shared. I look forward to hearing more. Im sure im not the only one who has wondered this before.
Thanks again, it really is appreciated.
