stoping the key alert on a fj80 (a how to)

my 80 had two ignition alerts that went off at the same time.(when the ignition was turned off)

if you want to get rid of the annoying deet t..t..t deet t..t..t deet t...that starts after turning the key off

the "speaker" is in the roof control module (little round black thing inside the modual)
you will have to pull the dome light then pull the headliner retaining ring around the sun roof opening (just from the center to the left corner this will allow you to get your hand under the headliner to get at the control module.
the module will be on the drivers side of the dome light/mirror
(6" or so) wrapped with foam take the black box that is covered in foam out open it up (it will snap apart and back together when your done) just find the seam.
i put silicone on the prongs that are left after pulling the "speaker"
snap the box back together install the module.
test your sun roof, install the dome light and headliner retainer ring and Viola no more crazy noise.

It was trying to tell you the sunroof was not closed all the way, no?

Either that or the sunroof was closed but it the warning buzzer was malfuntioning somehow. Is that what you're saying?
