I've been looking seriously at the MetalTech bumper. I have their sliders and love them.

I can pickup myself.

then please let me know asap if you would like to get in on this group buy asap. Doesn't look like we will make 10, but you should still save over $100 this way. any chance that you are coming to SnT?

I'm seriously interested in the bumper. I'm in Vancouver BC, so I can't pick up locally. Do you need all buyers pick up locally or there are some chances that you could arrange shipping? Thanks.

yes we could most likely have it sent directly to you. I am having most of it shipped to CA for discounted shipping but I am sure we could have one shipped to you as well. Please let me know asap if you are in or not.

So we have several in on the bumpers...I need:

Confirmation that you are indeed in.

Powder coated or not? (most of us so far are going black powder coat which will be the cheapest way to go as the cost is split up for the oven fee)

Small, Medium or Large stinger? So far we are all small stingers.

How do you want to pay? You could all Paypal me and I could make one payment (safe for you guys with paypal protection) or I could call them and see if we can do individual payments.

Are you picking up at SNT, local pickup, or shipping straight to you?

Thanks
Mike

Hey Mike,
I am in for the sliders and I am thinking about getting the 2" spacers for the front of my 93.

I need to know what my portion of the shipping will be so I can calculate if it would be just the same to have them shipped to me. Since I am paying $50 for someone to bring them from SnT and then meet them in Flagstaff for a 300 mile round trip. Just trying to weigh everything out. Let me know the details so I can figure out what I need to do.
Thanks Mike

By the way, I forgot to save your number in my cell after you called so I don't have it anymore.
Thanks

...thats good news. They messed up and sent a single 95+ slider off to someone on accident with a 94 slider. So now they have no sliders fo 95+ until they make another run of them but do have several sets of 94's. I was bumming thinking that you had a 97 and you would be out now. You should be good to go.

Cool, I was looking through the Tech area here and I thought I seen I had a FZ with my engine. How well, I am still learning!

Cool, the cat guard is the same for the 93-94 so I am good to go!!

By the way 91-94 is FJ80, 95-97 is FZJ80. Its based on the engine.
FYI- as far as I know, all 93s are fzj80s, but the cats are different in later years.

you may be right and I may be confusing it with the slider config. I know I have a 95 fzj. Guess all that matters to me. Sorry if I misinformed you Tony.

I'm sad I can't participate in the group buy.

Need to save pennies in case my motor needs replaced.

Damn that sucks all the way around. Best of luck on your rig. Hopefully you figure it out in the next few days and determine its nothing big and can jump back into this purchase! I always try to think to the best case scenarios and aim for those.

Then lets see if you can pay them directly. Otherwise I have to pay a 3% fee on the transaction. I will call them and find out.

Ok I seen the FZJ was correct according to the tech area but now with this post on the cats side by side I am wondering if the sliders going to fit on my rig. On MT's web site they show the sliders with a shield under the "cat" (only one) for both the 93 and 94 and that is what I have. I just got into work and have my FSM at home but I was pretty sure this is factory. I know the exhaust was modified after the cat but am pretty sure it only has one. I will check tonight when I get home.

Like Beno said, the cat orientation is the difference that we are concerned about. This is why they have two different models. You should need the older version and they know exactly what you need based on the year of the truck. do look under it and see what it looks like should be side by side. LMK

Now you guys got me worried. I have been under the truck (probably more than in it) since I bought it and the cat looks like one. I went to MT's site to look at the slider and it shows a pic that looks like one but it has 2 connections. I apparently have not paid that much attention to this and it looks like the heat shield makes it look like one. I will check it out tonight when I get home. I am still in the purchase.

talked to LT today at metaltech. he said that he will work on a shipping quote for us today, individual pick up and shipping is ok (not too late to get in if you want to have it shipped somewhere else (even a group of them to the east coast area?)), and individual payment is ok as well. I will post back when i have more info. We have a few more days to finalize the order so if you know anybody else that might be interested regardless of where they live let them know too please. Maybe we can still hit 10 items and get the 20% discount. Makes me think I should order sliders right now too???

Didn't know shipping elsewhere was an option. I can't make it to S&T, but I'm interested in '93 sliders. Shipped to 91355. Let me know.

If you are in Valencia, you are probably better just shipping to me in the group buy and coming this way to get it at some point. Bummer is that I will be in Valencia this weekend. too bad the timing isnt better, I would have just brought it to you. I am LA all the time if you want to try to work out something like that. You could for sure have it shipped straight to you, but count on it costing at least $100 to ship. That is one of the benefits of the group buy. Lemme know if you are interested

Was thinking about driving up to P/U but would probably cost about $75 in gas. My schedule is crazy this time of year so shipping might be easier.
