Trailer wiring - round 7 pin to flat 4 - help!

Hi all,
My 92 HZJ80 (from the UK) came with a round trailer wiring connector (7 pins, round pins - not the blade type). I need to connect it to the standard N-A 4 pin flat connector for trailers. Can't find an adapter for the 7 pin round locally (I'm told it's an old setup).

Would it be better for me to just chuck the 7 pin connector, and hard-wire a 4-pin flat connector? In this case, which color wires do I use for what?? My 7 pin connector uses all 7 wires.

Thanks for your help!

I found an adapter at Autozone last month when I had the same problem.

Yeah, that's EXACTLY what I need!
I suppose I need to do a bit more digging around, but up here in Canada we aren't blessed with the kinds of online shops that sell this kind of stuff.
Indeed, would be easier to plug in an adapter than to try to fiddle a new wiring plug using the existing wiring (even though I can probably figure out which wire to splice from, I'm kind of getting lazy, and was burned previously trying to fit a trailer wiring setup to an older 240 Volvo wagon - what frustration that was!!!!)
Cheers.

Still got problems!...

Ok, so I found out the 7 pin round pin connector is British (the truck came from the UK) so I can't get an adapter for it here. Luckily, I found the pinouts on an Australian site, and was able to test the voltage in the different wires, to be sure I identified the right ones.

Found a Reese converter box I had bought for my Volvo wagon (on which I could never manage the trailer wiring install, because the wiring loom in the back was so messed up by previous hacks), which I forgot is needed when you have cars with separate turn and brake lights. Hooked it up and all seems to work now, I just need to run a power cable to the battery for the Reese box.

Whew...
