Eclipse AVN6620 Install Question

I ordered the unit last week and it arrived today, Crutchfield has a discount special on the unit for $500 off list price with the bluetooth included and IPOD connector for only $25 Eclipse AVN6620 DVD navigation receiver at Crutchfield.com

Quick question: when approaching the install; the past references to this unit have detailed the positives except for the issue regarding the grounding of the parking brake to access GPS changes while driving (essential in my view). So how exactly do I do this? Some mention that I ground it to a switch; which wire and detailed explanation would be helpful for the non electrical side of my brain.

Thanks

I wired up my kenwoods ground wire to the screws that hold the hu in, works like a charm.

The wire you speak of, unless it is to ground you will not be able to access GPS functions or use the DVD function whilst you are driving. This safety issue is built into most units and its up to you if you wish to connect it, basically if you dont want the safety feature just ground the wire permantly or as the instructions, wire it to the park brake wire on the park brake switch (Red/white) found at base of park brake lever under the boot. Then the above functions will only work when you have the Park brake "On"
