Where does this plug into?
Noticed a low rough idle at times, so I took a look under the intake planum and found this vacuum line disconnected. I coudn't find where it is supposed to be connected.
Any ideas?

You can see the hose circled by a light red line.
*Note the hose had completely fallen off and I had been able to locate the nipple that it slips onto on the left side of the picture, but could not locate where the other end slips onto. I had replaced this hose with the new one in the pic and cut it to the length of the original hose.

Nope, all hoses are connected properly from canister. This is one of the thinner vacumm lines underneath the planum. I was able to reconnect to the nipple on the left side of picture, but cannot locate where it was connected on the other end.

Took another look at what you were talking about, and think this might be it! I didn't realize there was a T in the hose coming from the canister. The line slipped right onto the T. I'm hoping this was it...
Here's the T fitting with the hose from the canister disconnected and the vacuum line next to it.

The line connected
*I was also experiencing some pretty extreme gas odor after running the vehicle for awhile. I thought I would have to replace the canister, but maybe this will solve some of that odor?

That might be the cause of the odor. If not there was a thread about replacing the charcoal in the canister to save $$ over buying a new one.

Yep you put it in the correct spot. That short section of hose with a clamp at each end is often loose on the 80s I've had or looked at or worked on. Kind of a quirk. Doesn't seem to affect anything one way or another...
