I am going to list it for 10K and drive it around until someone offers me 8K. I have really put forth extra effort to really make this one worth while. It will probably have a 2" lift on it and some 33's by then as well.

I made my own harness for the pedal. It goes into the (A) connector on the ECU, pretty easy.
I will take a picture of my rats nest wiring, then again once it is 100% complete.

well, when you're ready to roll with it, let me know and I may need to come down and check it out and maybe take it for a spin.

Wiring nearing completion. This next picture is not for those with weak stomachs. It is a mess now, but I assure it will clean up nicely.

Gonna bring this to the top.
Had the pleasure of seeing this in person last night, and let me tell ya, this thing is awesome! The wiring is not as bad as you guys might think, and the exhaust note... Ohhh baby. The video does it no justice. Firing up a motor with no tailpipes at 1:00 am is really something
Good to meet ya, Rob.

Let me add one more. After about an hour of frustration last night I found out that without this one, the gas pedal won't work.
On the ECU(+B ETC). Doesn't make a lot of sense, but it was required.

This is all you need to actually start/run the engine. Only if the ECU does not have an Immobilzer. I specifically ordered a 2005 tundra ECU for that reason.

If you get this all figured out and make a kit, I think there would be a fair amount of interest.

Got the oil pan done tonight and the gas pedal mounted tonight. The transmission and transfercase shifters modified for moving the transmission forward 5".
Got to hook up power steering, cooling lines and a couple other small misc things, then the front end goes back together.
I really hope to be able to pull this thing out of the garage tomorrow night. Going to get the temporary tag in the morning.

Thanks .. so you connect your pedal direct to the intake ? or to the ECU . .?

Drove the LC a few miles today and it sounds really nice.
I think the ECU is not allowing me to have WOT as long as I have a few codes though. I still need the air injection, EVAP, and rear O2 sensors before it will be fully functional emissions.
So far so good though.
vids to come soon.

Look forward to seeing the video, sounds like things went pretty smoothly for you minus the engine warranty issue. I am curious how the truck drives, what mods were required to change the tranny hump for the manual?

Yeah stock auto. Didn't want to mess with a smaller custom gas tank and the welding of the brackets for the 4link for a centered rear.
LKA, sorry I am bad with names.
So the scanner shows that the TPS isn't opening past 27%. Time to do some research on that.
I did drive the LC into work today. So I got about 6 miles on the swap so far.

Gotcha I saw in one of the opening posts he was discussing a manual, but it seems clear now.

I was thinking diesel for the 80 as an expedition rig but then I heard that V-8, very nice. I have a couple of non VVTi 1UZs but I'm concerned about low end torque. Any thoughts?

yeah the 1uz's lack a little low end power due to the cam profile. And I don't think anyone makes a set of aftermarket cams for torque, but you could always do custom re-grinds.

Got my throttle to open all the way. Found out a few more things need to be hooked up.
Air injection needs to be fully functional which requires external air injection controller.
ECU needs to know that the transmission is in gear, as to prevent free-revving the motor(I am sure this helps with warranty claims)
I need to figure out how to wire up the kick down cable...or find out of an electronic valve body was available for this trans. Since the rev limit of the 2UZ is higher than the 3F, the transmission needs to shift accordingly. Right now it shifts lower than I want it to even with the kick down cable pulled.
Overall driving experience is awsome. Won't spin the tires coming off the line, but full throttle coming out of a corner and they will light up!
So far I have about 500 miles on the setup. I don't know the MPG yet, I will get a good estimate next week. I need a couple full days of driving being easy on the gas which is very hard to do.

So I have been driving this around for a few weeks. Been SUPER AWSOME!!! I have put around 2,000 miles on it, and have done quite a bit of towing as well.
I have got around 15mpg hauling and empty wooden deck car trailer. I don't know what the city/highway is yet.
But I now have run into a problem. Trans went out. GRRRRR!!!
So now I need to find a replacment? Does anyone know if the A442 will bolt up, or even the A343F. I like the idea of the A343 since it is smaller and lighter. I have had A340 series transmission hold up to 400+whp for quite some time so I am sure around 200whp they will be fine.
Also being that it has a removable bellhousing, it would bolt right up to the V8 engine. Only question would be the flex plate differences and the depth of the bellhousing.

Rob-
I said it in my thread, but I'll move it to the appropriate place
An A343F can be had out of an early 100 series (1998 and up) and should bolt right up to the V8. It's taken some guff for being smaller and lighter, but is still a pretty strong unit.
