high beam switch?

I have no high beam for a while unless I keep the switch back with my hand, otherwise no highs. How hard is it to get to the switch? I look this morning. Looks like I gotta pull the steering wheel. MY other concern is the gray wire. where does it go from the rod, or switch. I see no way connection at the rod or stick. The connection myst be internal in the steering column somewhere. anyone done this? Thanks,

Jeff

Yes to get to the switch assembly you'll need to pull the steering wheel. The column switches are all mounted into a switch unit that goes onto the column. What year 80 do you have?

I have the same problem. Depending on how much the factory switch goes for, I might just go old school and put a button switch on the floor by my left foot to turn on.

Its a 93. that switch at the dealer is 260 bucks. Looks like I just might be holding on the stick for more light for a while. Thankfully I don't us the highs that much. any idea about junk yards? What do you think of that?
