3FE.Idle spped/Throttle cable/ thud?
I adjusted my throttle cable when I tuned my truck. I got rid of the thud when I let off the gas, but my engine was racing at 1200 rpm in park. When I bafck it off to about 800 rpm the thud is back? What is the optimal idle speed? I tried like heck to get it at 1000 rpm, but gave up after tightening, lossening, driving. repeat, repeat, repeat. It now idles at about 800 rpm but the thud is back? Could It be my kickdown?

Throttle cable should *not* be controlling your idle. The cable should have enough slack (not much) that the throttle plate is fully closed at idle.
Spec. for idle is 650rpm. This is when warm and (I'm pretty sure) in park.
Get the truck there and then deal with any clunking issues separately.

Keep in mind that 16 or 17 years of poop in the throttle body will greatly effect idle. I suggest a good cleaning before fiddling about with too many peripherals. Another issue will be O2 sensor age.
From the FSM...
"INSPECTION OF IDLE SPEED
HINT: Allow the engine to warm up to normal operating temperature.
Idle speed: 650 rpm"
The tranny kick down cable shouldn't effect idle speed unless it is yanking on the throttle cable. Before you fiddle with idle speed, make sure the throttle plate is fully at rest against the stop.

Ok i just read through the manual RE cleaning the throttle body. This one looks a bit over my head. Going to hit up the neighbor (ex toyota tech) for some help with this one. What will running Seafoam throght the PVC intake help? I know where the PVC valve is, But I dont know where the PVC intake is.

Usually found inside the engine compartment of riced out, early 90's Honda Civics.
Anyways... The PCV intake is just the little tube that goes to the PCV valve.

So where do you pour the SeaFoam into?

I'd suck it in one of the vacuum fittings on the throttle body.
