fj-80 speedo
My wifes speedo gauge when cold goes extremely high 90-100mph. Easy fix? If we turn off the a.c. its better but still not accurate.

At what speed does it do this?

It's the 91, right? The speedo is cable-driven.
I'm willing to bet that the cable is loose. Thanks,Ive had them break before but never this.Almost never when its hot weather only when cold.

The speedometer itself could be bad and need replacing...
