Hey, I'm in no rush and looks like you are building a great product.

Thanks again.

Luckily I'm not building a darn thing

But after everything I've read and everything he has noticed with his own installs we collectively agreed on some modifications. It doesn't change anything on price and MAY affect lead time by a day or two.

Will this bracket fit on a Diesel 80 series? If so would it be possible to ship one to me in England? I have 2 York compressors sitting in the shed.

I have not heard of one being used and a quick check on search made it seem like everyone is having trouble trying to fit a York on diesels. I would do some more digging before ordering. Shipping to England isnt an issue.

I have a S/C and the York is sitting on my bench. I want the best of both worlds !, and even though it has never been done (I already asked) I think there is a way to install the York in another location. I already made a quick test, and there is actually enough room right next to the AC compressor, and the custom mount can be installed on top of the PS chassis.

Anyway, I may need the 3-groove pulley. Therefore I am interested in just the pulley if the price is right.

Let me know !, and thanks

I am still waiting for the cost breakdown between the pulley and the bracket and will let you know and post here.

you do realize that the engine and chassis don't move in unison, right.

Dam!, good point !. Well, I don't want to get this thread off track.

This is just an idea. I do have the S/C and I also have a York. With the two handy I can "play" with it and figure out if there is a way.

"If" there is a way, I'll do it. I may just start another thread about this later to get more feedback

Any idea what it would cost "turn key" installed, all parts, labor and shipping? I know that's a pretty broad spectrum question....just looking for a ball park figure!

Do you mean if you had to pay someone to install JUST the bracket and pulley? Or the whole system? The question isn't complete.

If you are talking about the bracket, it could be attached to the compressor is under 10 mins. The compressor/bracket combo could then be attacked to the head in about 15 minutes or so if working with another person. The pulley involves removing the belts and existing pulley. Not sure what that would run "labor" wise.

Of course you still have to get the rest of the OBA system together.

The bolts you would need I think would run about 50¢ ea.

"Turn Key" means I drop it off at a shop and when I pick it up all I have to do is plug in my air hose and I'm good to go!

IOW All parts, labor and shipping included.

Like I said I may be asking to broad spectum of a question but I am just trying to get a ball park figure b/c I don't think I will be doing this myself!

Just wondering if it's in the realm of posibilities for me or should I seek other options.

Thanks!

Seriously its cake. Its just getting all the pieces together. I am NOT the person to be discussing what is needed because I will ALWAYS go overboard on my installs. But you COULD source everything else from say harbor freight and be done with it.

I might have about a grand into this doing it all myself but I WANT to do it myself. That's not to say that with this bracket kit AND a york compressor that works, you COULD source everything else (tank, hoses, air chuck, fittings, filter, check valve and pressure switch for under $150 if you went cheap. I understand people have situations that require that they have to use someone else to install it but for me, I'd rather put it together and know/understand everything that went into it and thus knowing how to fix it. But that's me.

BTW, if you look at the Pirates4x4 install, that guy did everything for like pocket change and a 6 pack:

I have not seen the cost of just the bracketry. If you can post that up, I can let you know if I am in or not.

I already have a pulley for the OBA. I just need the brackets.

Thanks.

He hasn't priced it out individually yet. I will of course post up as soon as I know.
