Cat recommendations for 1993
After a little asking and searching, I'm thinking my cats might be a little plugged-up and candidates for replacement based on the following:
1. Some heat buildup on the passenger floor. 2. Some rattle noises coming from the cats. 3. 175k miles. I'm still open to arguments against the diagnosis, but in the meantime I'd like to get some recommendations, and I have a couple questions. I've more or less ruled-out OEM cats--they're $$$ and it sounds like I may benefit from more modern cat technology. I've got Hanna sliders with big cat protection--so size isn't really an issue. Could I benefit from running two parallel aftermarket cats like the OEM setup? What specific cat or cats would you recommend? Thanks for your time. __________________ Ryan Hayes '93 FZJ80 I was bold in the pursuit of knowledge, never fearing to follow truth and reason to whatever results they led, and bearding every authority which stood in their way. -Thomas Jefferson to Thomas Cooper, 1814 Flying Spaghetti Monster Bless America |

i am interested in the response also, as my exhaust is a bit on the rusted side and 241K+. I have a CEL warning on the dash that the PO states was senser related. I haven't searched this subject yet to many other irons in the fire at the moment.
