heater hose part numbers - fyi

Was doing some searching on napa's online catalog today to see about replacing some heater hoses with silicone ones, until I found out the price of the hose .5" ID silicone hose is $21.49/ft. ouch. Anyways I figured I would post the part numbers for anyone who is interested in getting this stuff.

.5" ID silicone hose - NBH 1508
.625" ID silicone hose - NBH 1510

Constant torque clamp (fits .5" & .625") - BK 7051500

Thermoplastic clamp (.5") - NBH 42922
Thermoplastic clamp (.625") - NBH 42925

The PHH and both firewall heater hoses are .625"

I used silicone for my PHH (from the PHH site advertised on MUD) because it has a higher temp rating and it is suppose to last a lot longer than rubber hose. Since the PHH is tough to see and moinitor without removing a tire, I didn't want to have to fix it again.

I noticed that they sell the pesky firewall hoses too, but just the ones that hook onto that plastic heater control module.

I just replaced all of the firewall heater hoses with some gates hose and the factory hoses that hook up to the heater module were relatively fine. However, some of the other hoses that connect directly to the firewall were super shady with all sorts of cracking and splitting on the inside of the hose.

I highly recommend looking into replacing all of the firewall heater hoses. Some of them are almost as pesky as the PHH.

My next project is to look into the rear heater hoses/lines, I'm sure they could use replacing.
