A/C Problem

After my little oops at Pyeatt Draw two weeks ago (bumper split a/c line near drier), I replaced the hard line and a new drier. Vac'd the system down several times and began to refill the 134a. I put in what I believe is the correct amount of Freon for a '94, just under 2lbs. A/C works but is no where near ice cube territory that I have heard others get. I have a new OEM radiator, modified blue fan clutch, JDM aux fan, cooling system is otherwise fine. Sitting in my garage on a 103 degree day, I can get around 60 degrees out of the center vents with system on recirc, and a huge fan blowing air into the radiator. Down the freeway at 65mph, it drops down to 55 degrees. One interesting note, the JDM fan uses the pressure switch to cycle on/off. Usually it would take between 1-5 minutes after shutting down to stop running. Today, it was still going after 30 minutes which tells me the internal pressure had not come down yet. What gives? Pretty sure there is no way I could have over charged the system as I used both the Freon volume and system pressure (ambient temp x 2.2) to figure when I had put enough gas in. Any A/C experts want to chime in?

Why's that?

Before the parts were replaced, it did cool much better.

A.C. is pulling down 43 degrees.Thats very good and within spec I believe.Even more when driving it.Fan running 30 minutes is ok all my cruisers run about that long in Dallas on hot days. You might replace the dryer and vac down again, but Id drive it awhile and see what happens.

Nowhere near as cool as it should be.

How's the sight glass?

Also, you're saying you used a full manifold gauge set to test/fill the system to spec.?

Interstingly the sight glass has some bubbles in it when I first start the recharge, but then goes away about half way through. In other words, it bubbles only during the 1st pound or so of Freon.

Yes, I did use a regular manifold set and vacuum pump/reclamation machine for the whole procedure.
