Nice I have been to Baja, most of my trips are SOLO, I have done Laguna Hanson, San Felipe, Puertecitos when they had the pothole road, Bahia Gonzaga, Bahia de Los Angeles, San Ignacio Lagoon!

I will be leading a small group 12 FJCruisers to Bahia Gonzaga on October the 17th!

I have not done the SkyRanch to Rancho Meling but you are correct it should be fun, let me know when you want to go!

imo just dont stop in tijuana rosarito or ensenada for more than needed after that people aren't as likely to take advantage of you. they depend on tourism for just about everything. the only place you likely to get take advantage of is at el rosario pemex gas station and thats only if you dont make sure that the pump is at zero when they start. i have taken my family tha consists of my wife, my son of six and daughter of one down there camping and have not had anytrouble. when we go ,we go with other family members so there is a caravan of about 4 vehicles. that is the only advice i can give you. sorry aout your vehicle getting stolen that always sucks just try toavoid that place again .

I do not see any t-100 wheels that look like those. Is it the spare tire wheel or something. Where did you find them?

Nice pics Dan. I'll be down there in two weeks for a sur trip around Erendira.

I've been wanting to do Laguna Hansen and Mike's but I always seem to be heading toward the water.

I do an ATV trip to Baja once every year during the spring. This year we tried to ride from San Felipe to Laguna Hansen and do some camping off of the quads. Unfortunately we got turned around a few times and ran low on fuel so we didn't make it all the way. The scenery was amazing, who would expect pine forests down in Baja? We also did a short trip down to Gonzaga for a couple days. I ended up riding just under 700 miles.

i hate to be the buzz kill in this thread but your "rock crawling" shots
are in a national park where travel off the main roads is illegal....

actually they're not. they are considering closing the park to bikes
and atv and they're filling the park with that god awful fence to keep
people from leaving the main roads. if you would like to know how
the park officials and members of the local ejido actually feel about
it you may want to join a group like racers and ranchers who work
to improve relations between land owners and members of the
off-road community....

my wifes couisin is a techer in ensenada and belongs to some association of ejidos. we have never had any issues at all weve even gone hunting down there with the ranchers on there land. i have no idea what your talking about them building a fence. thats were the cows and wild donkeys roam around when the lake is dry. i will drive don there this week end if i can and check all this out and post an update.

Just make sure you stay on the road, so that many people after us can still enjoy the parks!

It almost seems like Jurasick Park at Laguna Hanson!
