Fan replacement
I have only had my Cruiser for about a month and noticed it was leaking coolant. There was an impact wrench socket between the radiator and the fan shroud. The radiator had a huge hole in it and the fan has a chunk taken out of one blade. I ordered a new radiator and it should be here today but I'm concerned about the fan not being efficient with the half-dollar size chunk missing. I can't seem to find a direct replacement. Should I be worried that my damaged fan will be a problem? Any ideas for a replacement? I found flex fans from Murray's but no OEM anywhere.

I wouldn't worry about a loss of efficiency from the missing chunk. Imbalance also shouldn't be a problem, as we're not talking about terribly high rpm/centrifugal forces.

So then I'm guessing you didn't go OEM for the radiator either? Oh, and personally I WOULD definitely replace it. The last thing these cooling systems need are any flaws anywhere. Curtis |
