A dual exhaust on an inline engine is somewhat counterproductive in my opinion. Your best bet would probably be a 2.5" single with a high-flow cat. Any larger and you will probably effect your low-end power. For sound, look into a Borla muffler. From a performance standpoint, you would probably want a straight-through design.

If you really want to get more power out of your exhaust plan on reconfiguring your collector set up so that it is a true 2 into 1.

Past that, if you are putting money and effort into the collector area you might want to consider headers from Downy which require a custom collector build anyway. If you go with headers you may want to consider a 3" exhaust.

If you are doing from the engine back you might as well go over the frame to increase clearance and protect your new exhaust.

There is enough info on exhaust options to write 3 or 4 books (some of them contradictory) in this forum. Do a search and make your call.

I have no problem stepping quickly away from stock 80s and that is with wearing 35's.

I would also focus on a speedo computer if you don't have one since larger tires will effect your engine's timing performance.
