Oil in Tires :: York Compressor
OK,
So I used my new York setup out of necessity this weekend and aired up my MTRs before I had a oil/water separator installed. I could see a bit of oil bubbling from a small air leak in the system, so obviously some oil made it into my tires. They don't feel horribly strange on the highway, but feel a tiny bit off balance. The oil in the compressor is synthetic. Is there a problem to leave this small amount of oil in my tires or will it ultimately eat away at the rubber? I guess my question is... should I really be worried? |

It should help, not hurt balance...and rubber and oil are petroleum products I dont see any harm to the tire happening.

Oil doesn't make for a good solvent so tires should be ok. __________________ 70 FJ40-sold, worst day of my life 79 TOY 4WD pup-stolen, 2nd worst day of my life 91 4Runner 4WD-burned to ground, 3rd worst day of my life 83 FJ60- suckiest day of my life 97 LX450, 221k, non-locked.
