Real Time Help Steering Damper Install

Hey Guys,

Im finishing up the Slee 4" kit, and im sooo close to finishing.

Im having a problem with the steering damper bolts. They dont seem to go all the way into the tie rod end and the bracket on the oppsite side. Check out the pics

Am i doing anything wrong ?

Seems like both the bolts and the openings are angled, not straight, so i dont think i want to drill the holes straight through to make them wide enough.

Any help is appreciated.

Harry

Both of those connections have tapered bolts, verify the taper is in the right direction, they will close up when you tighten, but the gap probably won't be completely eliminated.

Had the same experience. Just got finished installing Slee OME Medium 2.5 inch kit, and found I couldn't get the steering stabilizer to cinch up all the way to bottom out against the shoulders. I put enough muscle on it that I'm sure it's not going anywhere, and I figured I'd put a wrench on it after driving a while to see If it'll go any further after "wearing in" a bit. Other than that, I'm not going to worry about it. I welcome feedback from anyone who is more experienced on this, but it is driving well, as it is.
