Anyone recognize this 80?

Friend of mine sent me these pics, was wondering if anyone recognized them.

Yeah, I know. Not the 'typical' 80 on here.

What's that grey, pavement looking material under his tires????

Interesting story behind that one I bet.

Some people just make me wonder. To each his own, but isnt there a vehicle out there that weighs I dunno 3K lbs + less to start with? Hey at least its 4wd.

check out the plates, looks like a Queensland plate.

shots from oran park (west of sydney), could be any one of a million crazy aussies.

i'll keep an eay out for a white 80, there are so few of them here

(wait... there is one in my driveway)

Yeah, but how many crazy Aussie's are there that autocross an 80?



I thought the front bumper was interesting, with the cut outs for what looks like two additional coolers. Not very rock crawling (or even driving) friendly, but I suppose it'd help with some of the cooling issues folks have....
