Arch Seal
Ok, so I'm going to take on the oil pan arch seal in a week or so, and I'm wondering if its better to use a new Mr. T gasket to seal it or just to use Black RTV Silicone. Any opinions out there? Also, I've been reading the FAQ on this subject, and is it absolutly necessary to raise the engine up?

Mr T doesn't make a gasket for this area as you'll soon find out when you drop the pan. Mr. T does make an oil pan FIPG for this job and it's good stuff. Yes, you'll have to find a way to lift the engine. Read the entire thread and look at the pics and you'll soon figure out why. Good luck.
