new contatcs on starter issues

I recently replaced the contacts and solenoid on my starter because i was getting the click with no start, now the engine cranks and starts fine but every once in a while it starst craking and i hear like a grining noise before the engine starts almost like the starter disengages prematurely? any sugestions?
