Thinking today about running two senders and one gauge....anyone do something like this??

I will use a sender in the input and out put of my tranny cooler to see the diference in temps...Is this doable?? and ideas??

You can, just run a switch to toggle between them. I considered doing the same but decided against it ALSO for the trans

If it's anything like 2 girls and 1 cup, don't do it.

Well to be honest I only wanted it for the cool factor. But after reading up on everything I could about trans temps I just decided that the temp in the pan is the temp that I should care about the most. Besides, I have so many other things I have going on in the truck that the chances that I am going to actually toggles between senders for the transmission is really low. The gauge itself is telling enough and barely moves. The operating range on the gauge is really short so if I was going to check between the input and output temps, even though there could be a 50º difference, on the gauge it would be just a small movement. In the gauge itself it only gets huge sweeping numbers after 200º. At that temp I would rather know if the temp in the pan was reaching over 200º and it would suck if I had the toggle on the output of the cooler which showed me temps that were 50º cooler than the actual problem area is. Just my 2¢

okay for the wiring chalenged info please....don't know if I will ever do it but thought since I have the parts why not....if all I need is a toggle switch could make the project go forward but don't have a lot of wiring experience...
